Dudamobile vs Custom Coded Mobile Sites

Hi, I think duadmobile is a concern not only becuase google is involved and makes sure evvery customer who is looking for a mobile webiste will see a duadmobile ad but also becuase they are clone sites. You do not want or need desktop information on your mobile site and right now duadmobile does not offer an e commerce solution. A huge selling feature is for your customers to acutally own their webiste.. unlike duadmobile or any other online platform. You can still charge monthly as I do $20 for hosting and updates etc and in fact I bundle this with a complete sms platform for $59 monthly for a complete solution and a better value prospect. We as a group of Mobile Marketers need to get on the same page and start promoting stand alone solutions for our customers, otherwise we might as well just get out of the business there is no way to comptete against a 15 second free mobile website. A complete solution is better for your customer and better for your business. They are not intrested in mobile websites and text marketing they are intrested in how we can help drive more customers to their business and how to get their current customers to spend more money on a monthly basis. Templates can be ok if you have a little experience but not all have a proper range of features, dont oversell features on mobile, tap to call, social/e-commerce/donate now and gps/location based/ and directions are the best features. Now if someone can actually build a mobile website builder that you can actually own that will clone sites and allow you to auto update and convert to html5 that would be where i would put my money. Right now they are all a monthly service, I cant risk that they will be in business 3 years from now and the whole point of this business is recurring monthly revenue.

I'd go for responsive rather than on dudamobile, I've used both on clients so I can say that there are advantages to both of them.

1. Dudemobile - fast, easy to set up, cheap.
Cons - unreadable graphics and text, not user friendly, for low budget clients only

2. Responsive - one site for all device, user friendly, looked awesome of different device or machines
Cons - you have to learn how to do it or pay someone, not for low budget clients

I always choose responsive because of the future-proof of the site, since I can't tell how long dudamobile or their service will last. Another thing is that user experience on mobiles are what we should offer to the clients.

i realy like dudamobile, easy and they have the most templates in seconds

I don't know about more dudamobile but it was more critical for editing few item change whole coding it was long process .I have software through this we create mobile website easy and fast.

Dudamobile is great if you need to impress a client in minutes. If syncs the client's desktop website into a working mobile version.

However, you want to do some backend javascript work or any kind of tags, etc - you're screwed. My company needed this to track all calls going through the mobile site and their answer was pretty much "Sorry, we do not support javascript". How else can we show the client about the value of having RoI through mobile sites in a "demo"?

As good as they are, it sucks when such basic necessities are removed.
