Anyone using this? I've been using it a lot personally lately - I find it does a bit better job ranking relevant pages than Google. That being said, I'm sure it's an absolute nightmare to try and rank on it.

Comparing the results from a few basic queries, Google/Yahoo/Bing all come in pretty close, and then DDG is way off the charts. First Result is an EDM, then wiki, amazon, then several actual authority sites for the niche - no IM sites trying to sell me anything, or invading niches with shit sites.

How much market share is duckduckgo? I can't even open it without proxy.

DuckDuckGo was getting 10mill searches a day a little over a year ago - I'd put them around 40-50mill a day now? It's huge, just not huge in comparison.

Why can't you open without proxy?

Some of DuckDuckGo users really seem to love it but it don't have much of a market share.

I have 2 sites ranking first on DuckDuckGo since 2 years and the same is around 5-10 in Google all year around but I don't get a single visit from DuckDuckGo, so there you go.

I love DDG, it's way more accurate than Google or Bing, been using it for ages now, i don't care about their market share, i care about their results and they are great, but the masses will never hear of them of course zo it will never be a player in the SE market.....

They're going up at quite the rate in traffic. With recent events exposing Google colluding with governments and being slammed with antitrust complaints by the EU, they may emerge as a big player.

I live near Shanghai and maybe the Great Wall Firewall blocks it.
