Dubai is a weird place

On one side you have millionaires and the mega-rich buying Rolexes, and driving fancy cars.
On the other side, you have people from piss-poor countries working for practically nothing, surviving one day at a time all while trying to send money to their home countries.

On one side you see the hottest models walking around all sexy and practically naked,
On the other side Emirati women wearing hijab and going shopping with their habibis.

Food, Moving around and Rent is freaking expensive, but you can buy a fridge, smart TVs, and all sorts of gadget fairly cheap.

Indians, Nigerians, Americans, Russians - everyone is here. If you've got money - this place is open for anyone.

I'm sitting here in the Starbucks processing all of this while working on my code

The guy sitting next to me is reading Think and Grow Rich on his phone and taking notes in his paper book.
I like his hustle.

Come to Dubai Habibi. Bring your money.

It's a strange country like you said, but it's not the place to build a future.
Very fake (but safe as there are tons of undercover officers) environment and although great as a holiday destination, it's not the place to live imo.

Wait till you see the living spaces of those workers. It's worst in some other middle eastern countries. Don't want to make it too political but you can forget about human rights in these countries.
Like you said, it's all about money. Dubai played it smart, made a ton of tourist attractions. Because that's what they'll need to sustain 20-30-40 years down the line.

Dubai has been so exploited by the fake millionaires who sell courses to make videos that it no longer fascinates me. I admit that I would have done a little thought before.

I hate dubai, one of the fakest places ive ever been to and not worth it if you are looking for genuine things in life !

I wonder if there IS any real hustler's heaven...

Took you a good while of nomading cool cities and countries to cool cities and countries to get there and I was expecting everything to be 10/10. A bit disheartening :D

Nevertheless, there's gotta be somewhere..

Chiang Mai and Bali.
Before covid if you were to say the word 'dropshipping' loudly in a cafe in Chiang Mai, there was a good chance 90% of the people there lifting their heads up in excitement.
Both of those places were overrun by wannabe 'hustlers' and digital nomads. Some of them had absolutely no idea about business. Not sure if things are the same post covid.

What can you do there though that you can't do else where?
By else where i dont mean home country I/anyone wanna escape.

Like I'm reading that and thinking "I myself am a dumbass" as I've developed some really good anxiety over the past 3 years, I probably wouldn't be able to get a word out in a cafe :D

Bali looks unbelievable, gotta finish this course and then I'll be somewhere nice...

Hopefully russia doesn't nuke everywhere by then.

Dubai and infact entire UAE is nowadays famously known as the world capital of frauds and scams.

Nah, don't worry. Nukes are just for the sake of arguments. I've got a bigger dick sort of argument. Everyone knows using nukes is as good as committing suicide.
Bali looks unbelievable
It is, only with no crowd. I cringe hard when I see wannabe hippies crowding such places in Asia.

Dubai is dope if u can afford it. I once spent 30k+ in a week, then another time I was ok with 5k$ for 10 days. Regarding poverty and conditions I don't think it's really that different then any multi million people city. Poor people getting exploited rich people enjoying it. It's wrong of course but that's how it is.

Definitely not a place to settle down. It is lot of fake. And very shallow.

Then again, everyone is shallow to some degree.

There currently many crypto-related summits and expos are going on there in Dubai this and the next month. Attend some of them if you'll have time and share some videos from there too :)
I will be attending some of them hopefully. Will let you know how it goes.

There is also real millionaire who live here. It is worth a trip. Don’t disqualify a place just coz of social media.

I am still nomading. Im here to figure out a quick residency and bank account so I don’t have to go back to my own country. Once that is done Ill probably leave to a cheaper more calmer place.

Spent 6 months in Bali while there was covid. Excellent time.

1)
You can get residency fairly easily if you got some cash. I am in the process of getting emirates id and opening a bank account.

Name another country that you can get residency and open a bank account by spending couple of thousand dollars in less than 1 month.

2)
I like to travel. And I have a very weak passport. Dubai is strategically placed where you can travel anywhere in the world with ease (mostly direct flights). And with residency, you can just go to embassies in here for visas instead of going to embassies in your home country
