Question: If I whitelist IP of my machine that is running two different proxy client apps, does it mean that one app will be able to connect proxy.dslrentals.com without authentification and another one the old way? Or it switches between two modes?

When you are in the panel assigning the same IP to several different Keys, each Key will show you proxy.dslrentals.com with a different port. So you will just need to separate access by ports, that's it.
