DSL is not available

Hi,

I live suburban area like 30 min away from Los Angeles, California.
It quite a big town however since I moved 5 years ago, DSL connection wasn't available and it still doesn't available.

What should I do?
Keep waiting or any other way I can call phone company to do something about it?

I really don't like my cable connection and it's too expensive.

Appreciate if there are any other option.

Have you checked to see if fiber is available in the area?
