DSL and Dial up on the same computer..

This would be done for the obvious reasons (quick ip address change).

I posted this in a few tech forums and people either said GTFO you spammer (put two and two together) or had no idea how to do it. Figured id post it here and see if my fellow BH's could help me out.

Anyways, I have vmware. I would like to have the dsl on my main computer and dial up on one of my virutal computers. I installed a second old modem to carry the burden of a second internet connection. Only issue is i believe its not new enough to run on my current machine so im gona have to get another newer one.

Anyways, If my thinking is correct, can it be done? Have you done it? If so what was needed?

Im having a crazy time trying to set this up.

Just got my new plug n and play PCI modem in the mail today so im gona see if this will work. I should of originally bought a USB modem as that looks like it maybe easier to set up.

Anyways, In my VM i disabled the original network adapter and added a serial port connected to COM3 which COM3 is in use by the new modem. Now the problem is the VM still is not picking up the port (COM3) so I cant manually install the modem.
