Drupal....

Anyone here using Drupal?

I've been looking at it lately...and it seems like it would be a BIG TIMESAVER....vs. learning and doinng PHP, Html, xhtml, mysql, DW, etc.

What's your opinion on this CMS program?

Drupal is an amazing CMS! Wordpress is for Blogging and static content. Drupal is for User Driven sites ex. Facebook, Craigslist, It can even be deployed as an enterprise solution. It's not for every project but it's a very stable framework.. With drupal, you could actually create a "wordpress" type of interface and allow users to create their own sites through it. It's also permissions driven by core. What type of projects are you working on?

I have worked with Drupal 6/7 for about 2 years. From my experience in most cases you will be able to do everything with existing modules and doing configuration in admin area. We even used to joke with my colleagues that when working with Drupal, you don't need to do any programming. You just sit down and do the module configuration. I think the same is with Drupal 8. On top of that Drupal 8 is on Symfony so if you need to find a developer it should be a lot easier than it was for Drupal 6 or 7.
