Has anyone tried this tactic? I heard that Bill Gates had an acid trip that gave him the vision to take Microsoft in the right direction. Now I'm not condoning drug use in any way. It's just one of those things that fascinates my mind. What do you do for business inspiration?

Inspiration can come at any time in any situation. Doesn't have to come through drugs, it could be a dream or while you are taking a shit.

The trick is to get the inspiration or ideas written down as they are easy to forget also acting on the inspiration or ideas is important

hahahahahaaaa! lol bill gates doing drugs! And then telling people about it!!! that's comical. + for making me laugh.

The worst thing you can do when trying to find inspiration.

The point of drugs is that they impair certain parts of your brain and make other parts fire (or rather mis-fire). Due to this, all drugs that are meant for "impairment" have a nasty side-effect which is that they block the receptors of your frontal lope - which is the part of your brain that makes decisions (or basically tells you when something is right or wrong). Along with that, you lose sound creativity for methodological tactics.

Learn about things, read success stories and put an aim in life for inspiration. Drugs will only do harm to you, leave aside the inspiration you think it might give you.

Yes, that's true, Steve Jobs came up with Apple while smoking weed too.

:question::question::question:

I often like to start my day off with a tin of glue before I write my reviews, if that does not inspire me, I move on to gas.

You don't need drugs, but if you have a problem picturing your goals then that could be an issue. It's all about visualizing and setting goals. If you have a great idea and keep at it you can for sure get somewhere.

I agree with jimbobo, inspiration can come from any where , but IMO drugs do more harm then good for inspirational ideas. But "Productivly" that's a different story.

Yes; do magic mushrooms and smoke marijuana. Go outside on a warm day and experience a novelty in an altered-reality and try to take something from it. You're gonna eventually die, it's a waste not to have these experiences.

What you don't wanna do is take those greasy pharmaceutical that drown out your creative process and turn you into a zombie.

Alcohol might be one of the worst drugs too. Avoid that at all costs.

Well i don't think its good idea to do drugs for inspiration. You might get some great ideas but its not that simple. Though when LSD was invented they used it to solve lots of university level math /technical problems, Watch some documents about it if you have time sometimes. Also as mentioned, Some Nobel price winners and Succesfull people have used LSD or other psycedelics and that have helped them to get their ideas. I think the nobel price winner was abot physics and about how all the moleculs or w/e stick together making solid items.

Also many natural drugs like weed, muhsrooms and some more exotic plants are not dangerous if used even somewhat right

You don't need drugs, you also don't need money. We don't really need anything. There's nothing wrong with experimenting with mind-altering substances. Ecspecially drug's like marijuana that typically just accelerate your current state (for me at least).

A loser will be a loser after smoking pot, and a business man will flourish with new ideas and continue being a business man. Or maybe that business man will become a loser and a stereotypical stoner, who knows. It's all up to the user though. My girlfriend and I smoke marijauna multiple times a day. She has a perfect GPA and is becoming a Doctor in Medical school. I run my own business in real life. I don't wanna brag, but i'm just trying to make it a point that it's up to you how you use drugs.

though, it's silly to think they can't accelerate your creative process and allow you to experience novelties that will inspire you.

Every year at Glastonbury I spend 6 days flipped out on LSD, its one of the best weeks ever. I can relate to what Bill Gates "said", I have had some true moments of clarity while tripping, but they dont last long haha.

Go to Amsterdam and get on the mushrooms if your a first timer. Get Amsterdamaged.
