Drowning in Redirect Chains... HELP!

I decided to beef up my site speed since my score is less than optimal right now. I first ran in through gtmetrix yesterday and got a 77%.

Today I optimized my cache settings and my logo... down to 60% now. The first suggestion they gave was to minimize my redirect chains... of which I should have none.

Yesterday it showed I had like 4 chains (all links I don't know), today there's like 13!

Is my website compromised? How do I remove the redirect chains and prevent this from ever happening again?

gtmetrix will show those 13 redirection link.

Also check for http and www version of website.

Redirect chains will be like this - from http > https > www > trailing slashes at the end of the url etc.

Gtmetrix will tell you about the redirect chains. In most cases its because of ad networks.
