Dropshipping + Youtube

We all are looking for ways to reach passive income , aren't we ?
I have an idea to start a youtube channal talking about reviews of products "suggestion to buy products " while giving people some content in videos.
goal here is capturing their emails to send them some useful stuff through email funnels.
My question here ..
I know most youtubers just paste their amazon affiliate hoping someone to buy from their links,
But i know this might not work because most people dont buy from the first time they see an ad and we have to do retargeting ads
Anyone tried method of creating their own dropshipping stores and use a youtube channel to drive traffic had any success ?

i does works, as far as i tested it last year, i managed to get many clicks on my amazon affiliate ID's, those clicks converted to indirect sales, i mean the amazon cookie got me some sales that are not related to the product.

well it was more than a single video, we developed a system that can convert amazon product page into a high-quality show case video, we uploaded hundreds of unique videos, each video was pushed a bit with our views
and got a few tens of real organic visits per day, those converted to a few clicks per day on the affiliate link per video...

Hmmmm.
I know it depends on products ,niches and the quality of videos
But Do you think it worth time to work on these projects or we should stick to google SEO or facebook ads ?

our project goal was to target long tail kw that related to best selling products, so YouTube was the best option for that since it was easy to rank for long tail terms, all we need is just a few searches per day X 1000's of videos, that's all

Which views did you used to boost the videos.?

on that time we had the IOS uHR and the NRV, but since we used many videos with long-tail terms with low search volume...
we didn't had to send a lot of views in order to rank them, for some videos we sent 1000+ views, some got 500-1000, and some got only 100-400 views, all did great

right now, all views on the market are mostly ADS views with low retention, i believe those views can help in ranking long-tail terms

the consent was proved to be working, actually it worked too well, the CTR was too high so amazon partners terminate our affiliate account

... i think they suspect that we did cookie stuffing or something like that.
