Dropshipping - your thoughts

What do you thing about dropshipping?
Is it dead in 2k19?
Is it too saturated?
And what about Ebay dropshipping?

It's not dead, but it's hard to get into if you're new.

Not dead, there's a lot of competition, if you are planning on selling on amazon it is kind of hard to start.

No, it isn't. Competition is big though not impossible to monetize. All you need is a good niche with low competition and a product that can sell.

Not dead at all. I would stay away from Shopify unless you have a good budget to start with as their monthly fees w/addons can get pretty pricey. Never done ebay/amazon drop shipping. Just couldn't putting that much work in for such a short margin.

You need like $1000 to really get started to run Facebook ads and retarget ads. Go with high ticket items like Go Carts or Bounce Houses.

imo I don't think it's worth it, you have to put a lot of effort into it for a small amount of return.

Well, it's quite simple to answer. NO Drop shipping isn't dead.

Dropshipping is and will never be dead. Shipping shitty products from China, having customers wait for two weeks will die though

Not dead, just saturated and full of copycats. If you can find a good product with a good margin and low competition, you can earn lots of money.

I've been into dropshipping on and off and somehow i always end up by actually buying a product before selling it.

I just simply can't handle all shipping times and people asking where their order is.

Thing is if you focus on items that fit mailboxes and have pretty low weight you can ship most items out for like 2-4$ ( depending on country ofc ).

I live in a country where shipping is pretty darn expensive so i focus on items like jewelry. Most of the items i can ship for EUR 1.45 whit a delivery time of 2-8 days.

I have a lot of experience in online selling but somehow dropshipping always triggers me to fail while having inventory myself turns out pretty ok.

Though since i love travelling and want to go for a few years i am still trying dropshipping so i can travel and earn.

So long story short i think dropshipping is surely alive but as someone said above/ 2 weeks shipping will die out pretty quick. It always has been long but for most it's now simply too long.
Yet i see a bright future. I recently see more and more items from Aliexpress getting US and UK shipping warehouses which means that with a bit of luck you find items that are still China prices but delivery within 8 days.

Now that's something i believe in and makes me want to dropship again.

My personal opinion; if you don't want to reply to daily "where is my order" e-mails either get some stock ( yes invest ) or find dropshipping products with a possibility of shipping outside of China.

Still a lot of money to be found but i think your at a dead end when you are simply looking for products that have low margin and take ages to ship. To get successful with that you need a lot of money, patience and experience.

I am new and doing it for like 2-3 months , enjoying it and always learning.

The problem with dropshipping is shipping time.
I believe it will grow even more and it will definetely become more professional.

The two week shipping time is a huge problem for this method in my mind. I've tried looking for US dropshipping suppliers but there are not that many. I've also been thinking of doing a wholesale + subscription model instead but order fullfillment and shipping are such a pain :/

Dropshipping isn't dead at all. It's much harder without a doubt, because many niches are oversaturated. But if you find a well targeted product/niche, go for it. Haven't tried eBay dropshipping yet.

Amazon to eBay are WAYYY too hard nowdays.
However, it's still very possible.

The problem with drop shipping, shopify is that all these gururs get people hyped up like they can make 6 figures with no sales experience. I mean just go on facebook and look at the ad copy on most drop ship sites ads they're god awful. Then they wonder "hmm maybe if I niche down my interest tab more I'll get sales.." no idiot it's your copy, basically the point I'm trying to get across is unless you have experience in sales or have decent understanding of copy writing try something else.
