Need to build a custom Dropshipping website, so was looking for advice, as I never did it before.
- Ideally, I dont want to learn new things, so i would prefer not to go into Shopify unless it's inevitable. I am very fluent with WordPress.

1. Can someone suggest me a good WordPress theme for dropshipping?
2. Alternatively, is there a complete dropshipping Plugin I can use on a woocommerce theme (I love ReHub) .
3. Does the Wordpress/woocommerce dropshipping ecosystem have things like these (which I understand are there in Shopify):
- "DSers" app and "VS Reviews" app to import Ali Reviews
4. Ideally, I would love to have a dropshipping website selling some products and also add this idea on one page. Is this ideal?
5. Is dropshipping better to focus on one product only or many products?

Thanks

If you ask me, you're focusing on the wrong things. You can pretty much use any sales platform when it comes to dropshipping, it doesn't matter at all. The appearance of the store, along with its functionalities is only important at its most necessary level, i.e. can the user navigate easily; do they know immediately what the store sells, can they purchase with ease etc. An experienced dropshipper (or even a newbie that with access to youtube) can create a well designed, fully functional store within a day or two. However, this will not translate into conversions. Dedicating weeks or months to optimizing the store will just bring you to failure. Optimization is important, but only after you found the most crucial things:
  • The right niche
  • The right product (or products)
  • The right market
  • The right way to bring the product(s) to the right market, i.e. marketing
So, you need to figure out the niche and product, then what type of people would be interested in it, and finally where you'll find those people (the marketing channel). You could also turn this the other way around and have or find an exploitable traffic source, then try to understand what that traffic might be interested in and then find a suitable product to sell to them. No matter what direction you start from, the store is the least important part of the journey.

Apologies if my comment is out of line, but your last question on whether you should focus on one or multiple products store implied that you have no experience whatsoever with dropshipping. If this is not the case, I sincerely apologize. However, if you indeed are very new to this or have limited experience trust me when I say that spending time on making the perfect store on either Woo or Shopify is a complete waste of time, unless your goal is to acquire skills on the chosen platform. Then, of course, by any means, go ahead and craft the perfect store.

If, however, your goal is to have a financially successful store, you should then start focusing on working on the points above, and only then, once you have all of them figured out, create the store within a day or two. Because the chances are high that you will start and fail dozens of stores before you find something that works. And if you spend weeks or months on each store, you will never come to see success.

Thanks. I quite understand where you are coming from. It's not as if I'm crazy about the perfect store. Rather, I just needed to start on a good note. Like those Shopify Apps I mentioned, I understand from another post that they are important for: 1, importing the products, and 2, for importing reviews. So I needed to know if woocommerce has something similar.

Do you particularly know if Woocommerce/WordPress has such plugin features? I read about a certain Alidropship plugin briefly.

But thanks again for your long education. I quite appreciate the angle and will keep that in mind as I do further research

Yeah, Alidropship plugin was the go-to plugin for importing products back when we were running Woo. I think they didn't have review imports.

For review imports, we used judge.me product reviews plugin for Woo. It was working pretty well back then, I assume it's still as good as it was a few years back.

From your choice of words, seems you left the dropshipping scene. Maybe it's not as good anymore

No, we still operate one store, selling hats/caps. We run on Shopify since it's by far the easiest, no-effort platform. However, I would again emphasize that you need to be certain that you know how to get the right product in front of the right traffic since the general dropshopping approach is way oversaturated. We're just utilising our already existing massive instagram network, but I assume you don't have access to such an amount of traffic.

Also, I have a group of friends who are still making 7 figures with dropshipping with the good old Facebook ads apprach, but they have a team of people who test 20+ products per day. And each product has its own unique store/website. So you can imagine the scale of those operations.

Astra (free) and Shoptimizer (paid) if you wanna use WP

You can use smth like AliDropship with WooCommerce I think.

It has its equivalents in most cases, so that shouldn't be a problem. I prefer Shopify though.

You can have a normal products page, not sure what you meant exactly.
5. Is dropshipping better to focus on one product only or many products?
When I used to dropship, I usually started with one product and then added some products if the first product was successful.
