Dropshipping w/ Woocommerce

I have a custom store created with a lot of good features... but I don't have sales. Most of my products are from Aliexpress but again no sales. I've been told I have too many products... (about 180) and should trim it down to about 12 core products and advertise them from there.

Is anyone out there that has experience with dropshipping through your own site? I didn't choose Shopify for certain reasons but am open to it if I can turn a profit... anybody have thoughts on how to get up and profitable with dropshipping whether it be Shopify or your own custom website?
