Hi,

I am currently setting up a Shopify store, it's my first time doing a dropship business.

I'm getting that drowning feeling with regards to the SEO side, being seen, pushing traffic etc.

I was looking at the SEO packages on the marketplace and in particular Sarkar who does packages.

Is this something that I could use? I'm just a bit confused with what is the best way forward to push the business.

Or even if you have any good links for a simplified explanation to SEO packages.

Cheers.

I would not touch Sarkar in a million years, all I seem to see is negative posts about him, but good reviews on his thread. Big red flag for me as it screams fake reviews.

Regarding other SEO packages, if you are not sure what you need, then don't buy anything. With SEO, when in doubt leave it out. Your hesitation tells me that you need to do a lot more research in the SEO field before going ahead with buying packages.

If you are looking for quick turn arounds, your best bet is A/B testing with Facebook ads and forgetting SEO completely for now.

Hi OP,
About dropshipping & SEO, you'll find tons of free stuff on YT ;)
Take a look at it, and come back when you know what you need, and the content/linkbuilding strategy

Ah, cheers guys. That's a great help. It's such a minefield for getting yourself found and getting the business going.
I'm happy with my site looks, the products I'm adding, it's just the next bit......the making sales and getting the traffic through the door, so to speak.

Feel free to drop me a pm, if you want someone to look at your website & give you some pointers. :)

Probably start with social media first, way easier and cheaper to just drop some money on paid ads or big accounts to promote your business.

SEO will take bigger budget and more time to learn what's your goal and what you need.

SEO is a long term game.
First you need to validate your product(s). Quickest way is using paid ads (FB or Google ads).
Only then should you even consider investing in SEO (content + links).
There's a good ecom SEO guide here.

Every once in a while, like every 2-3 weeks, a newbie comes here asking for some SEO whatever and out of nowhere he mentions this Sarkar or whatever! hmmm, so this Sarkar stays in the news, no matter what, good or bad.
A newbies and already has a shopify store and is doing dropshipping and with God grace he is also looking for SEO. Sounds fishy as hell to me. I think this thread needs to be deleted.

I'm also a newbie with a shopify store that is looking for SEO. It's a lot more common than you think. I've bought some packages here on BHW and I wish that I saw this advice when I first started because I wouldn't have spent so much time researching the different marketplace threads.

SEOWhizz is correct, spend some time on paid ads to validate your product. See if you can even get sales before you try to purchase a big package for SEO.

Also, Sarkarr is pretty much famous for being a SEO guru with his marketplace forums and I would have purchased it myself if I didn't see so many posts in the shitlist or other threads talking about how low quality his work actually is.

Yep, I've been looking and learning on how to improve my website, and making Google friendly, alt tags, rich keywords etc.
It's an absolute midfield to try and learn and also implement.
Have you done any paid likes for a Facebook page?

SEO guru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you seem "suspiciously" a bit on his side! you drop in the "guru" for no reason, why are you responding to this post? did you hire him? you said you didn't, so YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO IS THIS GUY!
I did hire him for months, so lets shut this thread as its benefit no one. If its in the shitlist, then keep it there. No need to add new threads and drop in his name for NO REASON but to just keep him up on every page on this forum.

A lot of people got scammed, I'm not going to talk in details, close this thread please.
If you and the other guy are newbies and already have a shopify store and dropship, then by all mean post a thread without this skarkar something mentioned in it. The minute you put his name there, it become suspicious. WE ARE NOT STUPID, WE DO SEE THINGS. WE MAY BE GOT SCAMMED BUT WE ARE NOT STUPID.

Did you forget to take your pills?
Sounds like you and Sarkar have some fun times behind the scenes
I learned about him after seeing his thread and I saw him featured in some articles about how much money he makes. Why do you get so butthurt over his name being mentioned?

Use Wordpress. Shopify not good if you want to rank on search engines based on your SEO efforts

Don't close the thread, I have no interest in bickering over who has the best SEO packages, I just asked a general question!
I have however taken the advice and setup a Facebook page. So thanks for the input on using Social Media.
And I only said that Sakar guy because he has the most hits, but I wanted to know if it was the right route to go down, which I won't be any time soon.

Don't ever trust gurus.
There's one dropshipping "guru" who I recommend to people who (not sure I'm allowed to drop names here) is very young, very white, and very clearly on the spectrum. I hope that helps.
