Dropshipping on ebay/shopify

Hello guys !

I'm from Romania, and I'm interested in starting a dropshipping shop on ebay/shopify. On shopify I had a couple of stores but I haven't invested more than 300$ so I don't know really if this should be better than opening a store on ebay. I have 500$ to start with but I'm not sure what to do. Since I'm not from US, I don't know if I will be able to dropship on ebay ( maybe someone will tell me ). I have read many articles on google and some said that non-us can dropship on ebay if they purchase an US address and a phone number and some said that it can't be done that. Another option would be to continue with my current shopify store ( nowadaystrends.com ) or to start a new POD store ( I believe that this would generate more sales than my current general store ). The good part on ebay store is that I don't have to invest much money like on shopify.

What do you suggest me to do guys ?

Search all the articles regarding dropshipping and shopify and learn everything(That's the best way i can suggest)
And yes you can start dropshipping without being an US resident, You just need a paypal business account so apply for that!

Why wouldn't u dropship on ebay if u got no us address?

I have a paypal account with my address from Romania. Do I have to make on with my address from US ? ( I would buy a US address but there would be no problem with the refunds ? If I have an order from Walmart how I tell the customer to return the product, to who ?

You won't have any problems dropshipping from Romania to any part of the world.
Handling refunds with dropshipping is always a concern and you will have to contact the supplier if your customer wants a refund.

The customer should send the product back to the supplier,then the supplier refunds you and you refund the customer.

it's often practice on cheap eBay items to directly refund the money to your customer,without requiring the item back,as this might spare you a lot of headache and -Reps.



Why would you need an US address? if someone buys something from your store,you just order the item to his/her address. You're perfectly fine with Romanian address

To use eBay you just need a verified PayPal Business account and you're ready to go,keep in mind that paypal will put a hold on the funds you get
from your sales for up to 21 days,so be sure you always have enough money,because if you sell expensive products 500$ won't take you far.

Regarding to paypal business account. I've put my bank account few weeks ago but I don't receive any funds in my account since then.. what is wrong ? I have to confirm the bank account on paypal and they say

Once you've received the deposits (usually takes 2-3 days) please enter the amounts to confirm you own the account."

From my experience (having confirmed multiple PayPal accounts) PP transactions usually happen within a week.
Maybe it's taking them some time because of the holidays,but I still think it's taking them longer than normal.


It's good idea to contact PayPal Customer support,if possible you can call them to get your case resolved as fast as possible.
Also you can try calling your bank to ask them if there are any transactions that happened recently.

And yes,I have some experience with Dropshipping on ebay,but in United Kingdom not US.
You just have to stay consistent,prepare your nerves and be ready to take some blows,as there are many dishonest buyers in eBay.
If i were to start a Dropshipping business again I wouldn't bother with eBay,but rather create my own site,because in eBay you have to deal with extremely low margins to stay competitive especially in the beggining,not to mention
that eBay's fees might eat up your profit when starting.

That might sound discouraging,but don't forget that there are many people who are making a living out of this.

Also one more tip.
Before doing anything on eBay spend some time to learn how to optimize your product there,i guarantee you that this will increase your sales. .

I saw your website,on first look it doesn't look bad.
But i believe you can enhance it greatly.
Like the big banner you got has option to scroll but doesn't really scroll?

I don't really like the colors also,that red is way to aggressive for my taste.
Maybe you can mix some new colors and come up with better look.
Have you considered using background image? If done right it can greatly improve your design.

The customers review in the bottom looks like they are reviewing some free eBook ,it looks phishy to me that way I would've change it.

And isn't your website way to broad? I have never created such a broad website,simply because the competition is huge and for a small fish it's almost impossible to standout.
I am really a fan of the niche websites.

How you plan to do your targeting on Facebook?

I believe you're aiming for viral products,but i don't think you will have great success.

For PP business you need a VAT number which you only get when you register a business in your country.

Normal PP you need confirm your bank account, phone number, address and ID to release all limits.

Hi... I was dropshiping also on ebay. Im also from ROMANIA . So is working but the biggest concern will be refund/return. I was burnde once with return.... The buyer opened directlly a request return with reason "item not as described" and I was required to get some coupon or something for buyer to can sent item for free back (really awfull ebay policy) but the issue was item was from china so how exactlly are suposed to pay mysefl for return fee? I still not understand . Because of this issue I was need to leave this ittem for free to my buyer and I get stuck. So can someone explain step by step how to deal with return? I sell not penny item so I need to be able to return if something is wrong and to not be burned. Thank

@Ludvan123 running facebook ads/ shoutouts on instagram ( maybe this one more because it's cheaper somehow and with some luck I could get some good traffic. Inserting a background image would be interesting but I don't think that I can add one when I edit my theme. I created it so broad to test more niches. I've inspected some other big websites with products that are on fire right now and I was able to see which are the most selling one, and I added them on my website. I know how the advertising should be on facebook, and my first target would be to drive some good traffic to my website and hopefully to have enough money to start creating look-a-like audiences after I get at least 1000 view content / 300 add to cart / 100 purchases. If you are interested I could help you with some advices on this part + i have some good courses from big influencers.
