Dropshipping on Amazon seems more profitable?

I have been researching this on some forums, facebook and personal groups of dropshippers.
Noticed many sellers are doing great business with their USA suppliers.
The stores are created in Amazon using high demand curated home decor products, optimized and even traffic is being driven by the group. Thus sales are being generated.
Do you think this could be a great option for dropshipping instead of shopify?

Shopify stores need good budget for advertising on google and facebook. Amazon already has huge traffic, just need to turn on "promoted listing" that cost less than facebook/google ads.

I've used to do eBay dropshipping back in the day, and I've seen a lot of people selling the same item from Walmart to amazon for double price. I think you can make good money doing this, but I don't know how scalable that is...

One of my best friends was doing amazon to ebay droppshipping, he used to show me like 100-150k in sales monthly or some shit like that and then told me his net revenue is like 500-700$ lol... dont catch me on the numbers but it was ridiculous because he was making 50-70 cents on an item

not saying you shouldnt do it im saying find a way to tweak the method dont do what everything else is doing or ull make pennies if any.

one of my rule of thumbs when getting into new businesses whether online or offline is to have some sort of barrier of entry / advantage that other dont have..

If you're tight on budget, yes you can do dropshipping on eBay and Amazon, it can be a great alternative. For the Shopify store, we can drive free traffic also through affiliate partnership or social media traffic. you don't have to start with ads right off the bat.

Amazon can be a trap, the amount of customers on the platform makes it easy to make sales on a first sight but it has lots of sellers and shady things.
As @zionbar mentioned above, can be tempting to sell a 2$ item from china to millions of Amazon customers for 10$- 20$. Just run your numbers wisely regarding fees and future problems that may arrive.

I heard from some Amazon sellers that dropshipping from Walmart has flaws and Amazon is going to suspend those accounts. (I'm not 100% sure though)


If you're tight on budget, yes you can do dropshipping on eBay and Amazon, it can be a great alternative. For the Shopify store, we can drive free traffic also through affiliate partnership or social media traffic. you don't have to start with ads right off the bat.

For shopify/woocommerce stores yes, social traffic/partnership is the best solution.
