Hi guys. I've been lurking on here a lot trying out different things but now I recently started taking dropshipping serious recently (aliexpress+shopify) and I've been seeing some small results.
Here is a screenshot to show where I'm at.

This is purely from influencer marketing. I don't have much data to go off of as you can see, but each ad I pay anywhere from $10-25. I've found one that does $25 and it brings around $100-200 in sales each time. From the $500 in sales, probably half of it is profit. (2 refunded sales are from paypal checkout, which i cancelled bc I didn't want to deal with paypal at all).

At this rate, I'm fairly confident that I can do $1k of profit a month, which is why I set the profit goal as 3k a month.

I hate influencer marketing. I hate reaching out to influencers, and asking about prices, and always having to rely on them to share the post or whatever. Most of them are lazy and not pleasant to deal with. I just hate it. Which is why the ultimate goal is to find success in FB/Google Ads. Also I should mention that I'm relying on the US audience, while NOT living in the US. Which means I have to be up at 2-5 AM in my timezone to hit the golden hours of the US audience which is pretty inconvenient for me, given that I have my life to live.

However at this point, I have no other choice but to do this for now at least. As this is the most efficient way to see some sort of success. I will eventually start testing facebook ads with the profit I make from the sales.

My vision is huge. I have a lot of ideas to implement and more products to test and figure out.
I also have a product idea that I want to create a brand for and manufacture myself once I go back to the US (not an existing product whatsoever)

But 1 step at a time. First I will focus on this journey and go with the flow. The sole purpose of this thread is to stay motivated and keep logging my progress so that it is there for the books and to implement any suggestions and improvements to better myself. I knew about dropshipping and tried it out a little bit a couple of years back and i recently saw that @PBNSurprise had the best dropshipping journey on this site. So it also prompted me to make one myself and log my progress.

So yeah here we go.
I'll clock the meter starting today. I'll update sales, ad costs, and product costs. (this store is targeting womens but I make more stores and will try other general products as well.) let's get it!

Good luck! How much from the orders are paypal and how much credit card? Are usa audience using more paypal or its pretty much okay with only credit card?

yo thanks for the shout out! good luck on the journey!

You are doing really well and have a clear idea about what you are going to do. Best of luck.

Just keep posting updates.

Goodluck on your journey! Get those huge ideas in to reality. Keep us updated.

Good luck and another interesting journey on dropshipping!

Good luck on your journey! Are you using only PP as payment processor if so why are not you using Stripe?

Hey man. Wanted to do the same. Totally agree about influencers, hate them. But the other problem Is PayPal. I heard many times that they can freeze your money for a long time and you can’t really do anything about it. Do you know something about it?

All the best buddy. I hope you do $30,000 per month in profits ❤️

Good luck on your journey man

thank you everyone for the support.
I did a $10 ad today with a new influencer and a completely new product. Here are the results

One US order and one UK order.
I use epacket from china for the UK order = $4 in product cost
USPS For US order = $7.40
Profit = Roughly $18

To be honest I thought I'd get more sales, but i was testing out a new product so I guess its okay. According to the stats it says 200,000 impressions, but probably not that accurate.I noticed the conversion rate is pretty low so maybe my store is a little lacking in the design and what not.
I'm using the ella theme that I got for free. Its the #1 most sold theme on themeforest but tbh I have not put that much effort into the customizing the page really.

Anyways, for those that are asking. I only take card payments. No paypal. The first day I had 2 paypal sales, but I didn't know I had it on so I ended up turning it off and refunding the two orders. I have a bunch of people leaving their checkouts after putting in their info including their address and everything but not sure if having a paypal checkout option would help convert those people since they might be lazy to take out their cards and inputing the info. idk really.

This is a womens general store. Things like underwear and jewelry. Very general and not very problemsolving so maybe it is a waste of time. I'm definitely not safisfied with the results. At least it comforts me knowing that I am able to be profitable each time I use an ad but still there's much to be done. The store has 6 days of trial left (i'm still using the .myshopify link) So idk I might end up ditching it, but maybe i'll pay the $30 subscription and keep running it for now.

Will update more tomorrow. I'll be running more ads today. Maybe a few this time for a new store.

Are you using Stripe or Shopify Payments?

Any tool/method you are using for finding influencers?

Are you using Facebook Pixels on your store for collecting data?

Good luck with your journey.
