Dropshipping internationally?

I'm going to take a stab at dropshipping. Made a little wordpress site with woocommerce. Now I'm looking at products on Aliexpress. I figured out that some can be shipped from the US which means they'll arrive fast, there's also the ePacket thing.

In my life I've only ever sold digital products online, so I never cared where my customers are from. But now when I check on Aliexpress, different countries have different shipping times.

So how do you guys that dropship deal with that? Do you just dropship to the US and call it a day, or what?

USA, Canada, almost all the countries in the Euro - Zone and Australia

<-- Focus on these ones

The rest of countries can be shipped to, but there are many complications and shipping prices can vary a lot.

As well as shipping times are extreme when doing other countries besides the ones I have listed.

Most of the countries from Africa and Asia are being excluded from the list of countries that most dropshippers decide to ship to.
I'd say stick with what @Giaco offered you, but make sure you include it in your website's shipping policy.

Be creative please and don't make people sick when they see e-commerce

Make your own label,package,brand - make it look serious and sell
After reach 100$ per day, work on fully automatization.

Thanks for the advice man. My main problem with this is that I don't plan to do FB ads or Adwords or any type of marketing where I can target by country. Not initially anyway.

It's my first time using woocommerce, but from what I saw I can select countries that I won't ship to, so woo will refuse to accept orders from those countries I guess.

I don't keep using Aliexpress for source. I've never done Dropshipping before, I don't keep using anything. I'm just starting out, and doing it as a side thing at least initially, to get proof of concept.

That whole thing about making my own label/package/brand and all, maybe in the future, but I'm trying to keep it simple and test the waters.

Mmm... when you first go fishing, you don't buy a boat and nets and shit, right? You buy a little fishing rod, and you go sit next to the water and throw it in... not the rod, but the hook

Care of countries such as Germany. They got "pretty" strict import laws

Okay. But what can I do about it? Other than not shipping to Germany, there's not much else I can do about it. Right?

I don't plan on dropshipping anything edible or drinkable... or stuff that can be applied on the skin, or sprayed, etc... so I figure that will safeguard me from certain problems.

Also be aware of the fakes on aliexpress, tough laws for some countries like the UK

What do you mean fakes? Like I buy something and they send nothing? Fakes, what do you mean fakes?

I don't plan on selling any trademarked stuff, no harry potter game of thrones none of that, at least initially. Only products that have a lot of reviews and that are generic.

Think he means like knock-off trademarked products. Gucci handbags for instance, they're probably not selling genuine ones if it's way below market price.

i also meant things like chargers for mobiles etc. Many do not comply with trading standards in the UK or EU country equivalent. Not just brand names but electrical uses inferior components, cosmetics can have dubious ingredients etc. The owner wrote an article in one of the UK's biggest selling newspapers, the Daily Telegraph, saying they are trying to clean up the site, but it will take time. You got a bit aggressive there, i was just passing on what i read

No man I'm not being aggressive, I'm just trying to figure shit out and I'm not the most considerate to others' feelings when I'm in the zone. I need to figure it out, need to get it done, need to be sharp and on point to do it.

Good to know, thank you for the information. I'm actually planning (for starters at least) to avoid anything that people can eat, drink or apply on their skin. not being difficult but with toys is another area that there are so many regulations, be careful with that. all parts of the toys have to comply with fire and choacking regs. Air is a good one, i know because i helped a company market fresh air and people buy it lol!
There are lots of products on there that can be done, it's just a matter of covering your back, as you are the seller so liable. If you sell a toy bear for example and a child choaks, it's up to you are the point of sale. If you are from the US, UK or Europe there are dropshippers who follow EU/US laws, so maybe worth checking them first. Because of this sort of pitfalls i decided not to try it

If it's edible or drinkable, people can choke die sue me.
If it's applied on the skin people can get allergic reactions or whatever die sue me.
If it's small/for kids one of them might eat it choke die sue me.
If it's big/for kids it may.. fall on one of them and suffocate them so they die sue me.
If it's a shoe the person wears it slips breaks their neck dies sues me.
If it's electronic it can blow up so someone dies sues me.
If it's a shirt it may catch fire and the fire spreads to a huge building and hundreds/thousands of people die and they do a big lawsuit

So then, dropshipping is impossible yes? What can I sell?

not impossible lol! like everything care and attention is needed with a large dose of common sense. If you sell a toy that doesn't comply with regulations, then you are liable. Lots of sellers comply with regs, jjust be careful is all i'm saying. If you want to sell iPhone accessories that are not licensed, you could open yourself up for trouble, again common sense. Order a sample if you can before committing. Don't know your country so i am talking about UK problems with it. Not just the time many products take to send to countries like the UK or Europe, but regulations. All i'm saying is just do some research before committing, your store is your business, as with every business it's trust

In other words I'd just do that until I die... which would not be long because I would run out of money for food, and die. And then I'd sue somebody!

It doesn't matter. I won't sell anything that is trademarked or anything that's edible/drinkable or any electronics. For example, if a seller is willing to ship to the UK, and they've already sold the product hundreds of times, I'm good.

If there's a problem, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Do all the people that do dropshipping on Blackhatworld order samples of everything they sell and research every country's law about every product they are selling?
