I am selling some item on mine dropshipping store... 27.99 its price on my store buying it from aliexpress for 10$... i can get it for alibaba in 1000 quantity 3$ per piece...

Someone from portugal/brasil send me email and he is asking price for 1000-2000 per piece!

How i can know he is not scammer?
How much i should ask upfront payment?
Which payment provider i should choose so i can be safe?
He is from portugal or brazil and he is doing export import...

You can ask for a sample, it's usual step before you buy such bulk order.

Go for estern union and ask 100 percent upfront or maybe 50 percent.

This thing stinks. The guy is doing import/export business and he's willing to buy from you and he never checked Alibaba/Aliexpress/Amazon for that product?

I'd be extra cautious. Definitely go for 50% or more upfront payment.

Ask wire transfer and 50% upfront. Do not ship anything before the full amount is paid in full.

Good job on that, but still, there's a big amount of risk involved. Do you have a registered company? Does he have a registered company? How much is he willing to send as an upfront payment?

These are just a few of the questions that I would be asking myself if I was in your situation.

So i didnt sens him any email until i got some advices?

How much i should ask price per piece if he order 1000 pieces. I am selling it on mine site for 28$.

Only accept bank wire... get 50% down and 50% when the order is ready to ship ( assuming it will take a little time for your mfg. to get the order ready )
This is pretty common practice. I am sure you China guy will want bank wire as well. If it seems to good to be true it probably is make sure you cover your ass!

If you ask for northern union payment you're done. You've lost him. The payment should be upfront but it has to have 2 key components:
-trustworthy
-non refundable
The first component is for him.
The second is for you.

Paypal is off the table because they'll refund him in an instant. So you only have Bank Transfer butttt ... if you ask your customer to pay to Hassan Lee in Crapzeeland they'll run so you need a company name and a bank account in a reliable country (even China because bulk buyers know China produces stuff) buttt ... how do you get that.

Go in your country. Create the easiest form of company there is. Open a bank account. Register to Payoneer for a US Bank account with your company name (pick an english name).

Do the deal, ask your customer for bank transfer, invoice them with your company name and US Banking details, order from your supplier, have it shipped, tracked, reputabl&faste carrier. Order delivered.
Get a Payoneer card, cash out at ATM. Your country has no idea you made a transaction, everything's clean.
Enjoy your money and pay attention to details while proceeding with this.

Cheers.

Also take heed to what this dude said:

Quoting him that high you risk making him look even further to find another supplier. I wouldn't be greedy. If your cost is $3 landed I think $9-$12 is a nice mark up. He needs to make money too. Take into consideration how much time it will take you etc.

Good luck.

i found supplier 3.67 per unit to put my brand on it 0.078 and shipping about 200$ to portugal/brasil.

They need 20 days processing because of printing and they say it will be delivered in 2 days.. Thats too fast i think what are yours thoughts?

10-12$ sounds quite right. Ask for 50% upfront, tell him it will take 2 weeks to prepare the order, use the 50% you got to pay for the order to your supplier. When the order is prepared ask him to pay the rest of the amount and ship it.

PS: Your chinese supplier can and will send you photos of the packages so ask them to give to your customer for reassurance while the order is processing.
