I'm looking for some feedback about this method to raise my transactions on ebay.
In order for me to try and move a lot of transactions without putting a lot of money on the line,
I was thinking of just re-listing some really cheap products from chinese sellers (that I have purchased
from before so I sort of have history with them). Of course I would edit the photo and description so it doesn't match exactly the same
and I'm only looking to list things that are 99 cents - $2 at most and offer free shipping worldwide
since the chinese seller also offers free shipping but also untracked shipping.
Since the items are very cheap, if any case should arise claiming non-delivery, refunding them
would be a synch and eating a dollar here and there is really nothing compared to the amount of
potential transactions I could get. I'm obviously not doing it for profit but I simply need to complete as many transactions as possible to see if I can help bump my 0.32% defect rating to 0.30% so that I don't fall below standard by my next evaluation (which is a whole month away).
Has anyone ever tried this just to boost transactions and not for profit? I guess it's possible the chinese seller could notice that you are purchasing from them so many times but asking them to ship to a different address each time and not the address that is on my ebay/paypal accounts. Since it's only $1, I'd reassure them that I would never open a case back on them if I had a case open on me. I would simply eat the cost, refund my buyer so the chinese seller doesn't have to worry about anything at all. I also wouldn't be affecting that seller's sales because I'm basically funnelling sales to them anyways if customers bought from me.
I think it's a very sound and reasonable option. Am I over looking anything that I should be aware of? I think it can work and I'll give it a shot and update you guys in the next month and see if I can get my rate down to 0.30% from 0.32%.
