Hi, I'm looking for some help on getting a dropshipping site started. I've infrequently been checking this site for the past 5 or so years so I know the basics of blackhat marketing, but not a lot. I've also ran my own clothing website on SquareSpace so I have a basic understanding of using these sites.

However, with that being said, I want to do it the blackhat way. I've looked at a few 'helps' online but they just don't know the potential their missing. If anyone can point me in a direction to a guide/method/tips, that they'd personally suggest then that'd be great. Sorry if this is the wrong sub forum! Thanks

Hi, What kind of Black Hat Marketing are you talking about?

I don't know, which I guess is what I mean. I'm looking to maximise my potential & have seen hundreds of different things over the years on this site that could have helped me. My problem is that I can't recall anything specifically, I have just picked up a very general broad basic understanding of blackhat IM.

I've already read that thanks. My main grey area is getting traffic to my site, but specifically traffic for DropShipping, as I've only ever created my own traffic on Social Media pages (selling services through Twitter, Facebook etc).

I have enough knowledge to create a nice looking site and to pick the right products. I just don't know how or where I should be looking to acquire my customers as I've never used Ads before.

Well, let me give you a hint for traffic.Internet is bigger than Facebook (unbelievable for many). So, let's say you sell baby shoes.Who would buy those shoes?Babies? I don't think so..But who? Most likely moms.Where moms hang out? If you google for a bit you will find there are some certain forums..do i have to say more?

Using your example: I'm selling baby shoes, I have found a ton of sites where moms hang out. What now? Pay them privately for advertising? Sign up and spam the site? I was always led to believe marketing/advertising was a lot more detailed than that. Thanks for the help anyway.

Not quite spamming, just helping them out to find that free product you have, you don't have to hammer it all day long. And switch the niche, find other forums, help them out as well.If you return every two weeks to a forum with a free product is not spamming. You will be thanked actually.Think what if you find yourself 10 niches.

When it comes to dropshipping you have to be aware of several facts, such as competition is huge and therefore its not enough to simply put your store out there and throw some traffic at it. You must choose some nice products, present them at least in a decent way and drive TARGETED traffic. Facebook and AdWords are the two main sources used by my clients and me, but I also had major (even bigger) success with a store where I purely drove traffic through affiliate marketing.

I made a video about the common Shopify mistakes that you want to avoid in this business. The audio quality is quite bad but gets better in my other videos (this was my first :D )

Thanks for the reply, I've already watched the majority of your videos. I'm moving to London soon so I'm on a tight budget, I'm only looking to spend about £150 on my initial advertising. Do you think that will be enough providing I have good products/a professional site?

Even though many gurus will tell you its by far enough, I recommend a budget of $500+. Not because its impossible to stay below, but to make sure that you don't have to give up after a few days of bad advertising or any other problems. 150 can literally be spent in day(s) and its not guaranteed that you will make sales within the first weeks.
