There's a lot more that goes into it than finding an item on Alibaba that people are buying for twice the price on Amazon. I recommend you perform a lot of research before you enter any type of dropshipping business venture.

Aliexpress is the best place. You can order any number of quantity there. For bulk quantities, they ship fast. Best of luck.

It's true, aliexpress suppliers are a good way way to start. I have different Shopify shops that run in some EU countries and I began by dropshipping directly to customers whatever they ordered. After 3 years I opened my warehouse in order to be quickier with the deliveries but I did it thanks to the income from dropshipping.
