I've decided that I want to start a business operating like an online store. I don't have a product yet (still thinking about what is profitable) and i think dropshipping could work but I'm unsure which places to buy from etc. Do you know have any sources I can read up on and also suggest product ideas or platforms to use.

I can recommend you to start your dropshipping with AliExpress as there is very convenient plupin - AliDropship (https://alidropship.com/). I have just started my dropshipping business and i like it a lot!
