Hello BHW,

I have been a long term lurker but here is a method to make instant cash drop shipping books on amazon and ebay.

Its SOOOOO easy and is legit and can make you a few 1000 per month, but it will keep you busy responding to questions. Sometimes very busy, during the month of December I have made about 3000 doing it part time.I haven't done any in January and don't intend to for some time as I am working on other ventures.

Go to Bookdepository and go to the bestseller's section grab an ISBN number and throw it into EBAY. 90% of the time you are going to be able to sell the book internationally cheaper then anyone else. Why? Because bookdepository offers free shipping worldwide while all the ebay sellers and amazon charge steep shipping rates.

So list it on ebay at a good spread (say $5.00 markup after ebay commisions) You sell 20 books a day your making $100.00. And the seller gets their book fast and cheaper then anyone else and gives you good feedback. Easy as pie.

If you have questions about this method let me know, I recommend only listing books under $20.00 as the occasional book does get lost in the mail, I have found it easiest to just refund the buyer and eat it out of profit so that ebay/paypal and bookdespository arent involved.

Now I have a very serious super lucrative JV I want to post. The forum would not let me post in that forum so I am hoping now that I have contributed I will be able to do so :)

Hey J,

I went to BD and eBay....people on eBay are selling books much cheaper that I can get them from BD. Are there some books that sell better than others?

I checked Tony Blair's auto and Jamie Oliver's 30 Minute Meals....I can't touch that price.

Thanks for the advice!

Hi Dave,

Try more books, about 1 in every 10 will be bestseller's, your looking for those 10% that are gold. I used to always go to the bestsellers and change the search string to books priced under $20.00, copy the ISBN and push it into Ebay and look at lowest price WITH shipping, because that is where you compete. You aren't going to charge for shipping! Your just going to mark up the book cost and the place the order with BookDepository and voila.

Search 20 books then write back and tell me you couldnt find a way to make a profit. :) It will take you about an hour if your slow, 30 minutes if your quick...well worth the investment.

Remember that for books sold in EU, you will chargwed also VAT

Hello,

I will give that a go! It will take me until this weekend to get back to you as I have a huge project I am working on at the moment. I will try it though. ;)

Cheers,

Dave

Does bookdepository dropship the books? You have to create an account with your address in order to place orders with them ... so how does it work that they send each book to another address?!

If they do not dropship and send the book to me, then I have to send it to my buyer and I have to pay shipping. So how can I make profit then?

Hi there,

I hear that BD enclose an invoice with the shipment - even if asked to ship as a gift? Isnt that an issue?

Hi Team,

OK lots of questions, Ill try to answer them all in one post:

Q: I hear that BD enclose an invoice with the shipment - even if asked to ship as a gift? Isnt that an issue?
A: Yes they do enclose an invoice with the shipment. This has never been an issue and I have never ship this as a gift. Its simply never been a problem. I imagine BD has gained a lot of new customers because of this though.

A: When you enter the order they ask for the mailing address, you put the new address in, they ship directly to your customer. You can have 1000's of addresses on your profile. This has never been a problem.

Q: Amazon?
A: I did this on Amazon and was making a KILLING. The only problem is Amazon eventually banned me. Amazon is extremely strict and if you have a huge amount of orders and they will hold your funds for up to 90 days to verify your customers are happy. If you can float your business for 90days this should be a good opportunity. That said with Ebay you can require IMMEDIATE payment. Proceed with EXTREME caution at Amazon although there is huge opportunity there. My funds were frozen for 90days at Amazon and I lipped off to them and was banned. They did eventually return all funds. I would not recommend Amazon to anyone new to the business and recommend experienced sellers to proceed with a high level of caution.

Q: Do you always use Buy It Now?
A: Always, I never used the auction, just list the price where YOU can make profit and leave it. You will find 10% of your listing will be responsible for most of your orders. Everyday list a new item with a Buy it now Price that makes you profit, require immediate payment through Paypal and offer free shipping worldwide. Rinse and repeat.

How often do books get lost? Because looking at their reviews it seems like it happens a lot. And how long does it take orders to get to the US?

About a month to ship to the US

what happens if a buyer wants refund? Will he ship it back to your adress? or to the senders adress?

Ok... lets say I find a book on the book depository that has a good profit margin. I decide to list the book as a "Buy it now" on eBay. The book sells on eBay, i gather the buyers shipping information, and place the order on the book depository. I make sure to fill in the shipping information on thebookdepository using the eBay buyer's shipping address. So the book gets shipped directly to the buyer right? Although, I have a few questions...

1. What exactly is in the box that has been shipped? Does it have an invoice for the real price I paid for it on thebookdepository? if so, do the buyers ever get upset because of this?

2. My second question is regarding the shipping time ...

As listed on the book depository website: Standard Delivery United Kingdom 3-5 Working Days
Standard Delivery Europe 7-10 Working Days
Standard Delivery US & Canada 28 Working Days (this is longer than usual)
Standard Delivery Australia and Rest of the World 21 Working Days

Let's say I have to ship to Canada or the US, how do you keep the buyer patient? 28 days+ seems like a pretty pretty long wait. I don't want to risk getting negative feedback.
