Today I checked cuterank to see how my rankings were doing on my new site, and to my surpise, i've dropped on ALL my keywords dramatically.
I have no idea what happened or why they dropped
I was sitting consistently between 4th and 5th for my main keyword for the last 2 weeks and overnight im 35th
Any ideas?

This is typical of a new site. Fresh content ranks, then poof, gone. Now this is where the hard work starts. You have to link build your way back to page one.

Now you have to add more high quality content with diverse keywords combinations and also build natural links accordingly.

This good just be a Google Dance (google moving you around to test value) or the end of your Google Honeymoon (the term for the strong performance of new sites); it could also be an indicator that you have a large amount of single focus keywords, low value properties, or have been detected building too aggressively or of link spam.

Remember its important to have plenty of anchor diversity, focus on context of your links (make sure it is relevant), don't over-use your keyword and make sure you include a social element.

Thanks for the info
SO I guess just start manually building backlinks and adding lots of new quality content?

This is what we are doing. It's more work but really good quality backlinks and original non-spun content seem to be the magic sauce for Google these days.

Well, the reason for this huge drop could be recent penguin update which is hunting for spammy websites.
Second reason, Honeymoon period of your new website is over. Which is why it has come down to its deserving rank.

Any SERP movements OP? Is in the same spot? Any improvements?

Seems like Google dance and it's usual for a new site. And I guess nothing is wrong but you can double check if there is any.

Possibly google dance. Keep adding a lot of quality content and keep your link building methods as "natural" as possible.

Your honeymoon period is over... time for a divorce!

Just kidding, here is where the real work begins. You need a sold on site and off site strategy. I feel your pain tho, had that happen a while back on one of my sites but is now recovering well.

I have tested cuterank a few times. Again I tested it this morning. Don't base your finding on cuterank. I have several keywords on first page of various popular search engines, however in cuterank they argue the same keywords are "not in 100". So their finding are not accurate.

Yes, it looks like a google dance. You have to rank again from bottom. That's your real work.

Been a a day or two since my first post. Seem to be hovering around 30th to 40th for my main keyword and a majority of my other keywords completely fell off the map. Moving house this week so haven't had time to do any backilinking or add any new articles but will start this weekend.
