Is dropped expired domain working for building money site? Any one working and getting success with dropped expired domain?

Yes it's good.
But it must meet certain criteria to have maximum success :
  • Do not have spam
  • Do not have any penalties
  • Be in the same theme
  • Have a number of referral domain in the same theme.

If you have a sufficient budget, then using bigger expired domain is the way to go. Nothing wrong with starting fresh though.

If you are asking about a difference between dropped and non dropped, then there's none.

If the domain has been offline for a few years, it will take a tad longer to kick in, but that's about the only difference.

Can expired domain entirely fuck up your project? Yes. Make sure you stick with niche relevancy and make sure you do not cut any corners with this, otherwise you might fail before you even started.
 
Expired domain with 10+ da and some links are good. Since most links point to home page you don't need to do anything like restoring website etc. You get the initial umph which you wanna ride and add a lot of content and rank.
 
Yes it does. However it will take some time until it starts giving its power from its past backlinks if it was "sleeping" for a long time. After you make a new website on it, give it like a 2-4 months then you will start seeing results.
 
I don't think so, expired domain only for tier 2 or 3 backlink.

I will start with 4-5 domains for my automation site.

Of course. But you have to make sure it’s clean. That’s what you have to look for. Most of them are not but there are still a few who are.

I got 2 expired domains the other day with some decent backlinks and redirected. Should I add these domains to my GSC? One domain hasn't been used in over 10 years and has over 250 articles, I am debating on cleaning them up and posting them, about 60% of the articles are just copy/paste though, what do you think the ethics are for doing this for expired content?

Yes you should add them to gsc. Black hat seo has no ethics issue.
If you want to hide your footprint create a aws server create a gmail account and add domain to gsc there.
 
Ok but If a domain has 0 DA, 0 links but it has perfect naming and whois says that a website is 2,664 days old. Does it make sense to spend 500$ for good naming and solid creation date? Or an effect will be just the same as newly registered domain?

Age is not a ranking factor and that domain will behave like a fresh domain.

Also, 2008 is not exactly old anyway. You can scrape tens of thousands of domains that are available for free and are older than that.
 
Don't buy previously redirected (301 / 302) domain.
It will never rank.
