Hi all,

I started a website about 6 months ago, wrote a few optimized articles added a bunch of plugins then left it, as i was lucky enough to find a job. I had no internet access where i was working, so no link building was done, or anything for that matter.

Fast forward to a couple of days ago. I login to the wp admin to see i've been consistently getting about 600 visitors a month. I notice though that a couple of the plugins I had installed for tags seem to have gone crazy and added masses of them, though they are relevant to my keywords. These plugins are Auto seo tags and strictly auto tags.

I just started reading about over optimization and am now think of dumping these plugins, the site is white hat and is started to rank for keywords. I'm wondering if any of the white hat section uses these plugins or would recommend binning them and deleting the tags?

i Would leave them if i were you.

In my opinion the over optimization you are talking about is solely for the keyword and phrase density in your onsite text...

Yeah you should be fine. Although if you're still unsure there a plugin you can install that can nofollow/noindex tags. Search the plugins section for 'nofollow/noindex' and it should come up - the name of it escapes me for now! If you can't find it PM me and I'll login to my WP and check for you later when I'm home from work!

Thanks for all the replys and for that suggested plugin Jinko, will get right onto that. Literally just got back into this, so I'm way out the loop. Got a lot of reading to do.
