Drop shipping from China?

Hi all, just a quick question.

I am drop shipping from China on my eBay account.

Where should I set item location as? The chinese address or my U.S.A address?

When I upload tracking the sender would be able to see that it has been shipped from China... But would eBay ban me for some reason if I have the item location as china, but my other listings from my home address?

I got the same question too dude. Ive been trying to search around, and havent found an answer. Ill pop in here and check later :)
 
Have you guys tried looking on ebay? They should have some kind of toss or privacy faq. Maybe that will help :)
 
The best thing to do is put from China as eBay love banning people for the sake of it. Once you have made enough money, start buying in bulk so that you can use your own address, as I find it very off putting when something says it is coming from China, and I am sure many others probably do too.

Yeah, the problem is that I am unsure if the item will sell or not. So I don't want to import it and be stuck with it as it is over $150. Once I know it can sell, I will have a couple shipped to my house.

I am probably just going to set up a stealth and do from china in the item location. That way if eBay bans me, it won't matter too much as it is just a stealth.
 
Put it as coming from China if it is, no reason to mislead buyers and risk getting banned at the same time. Try to establish yourself enough to start buying in bulk and shipping from your own address, coming from China is sketchy as hell on a lot of categories.
 
You can put item location as China , that doesnt affect your ebay standings and the fact that you are form USA , although people get suspicious when purchasing goods from China.Yet if you put item location as USA and it comes from China the buyers might start asking questions so i think its better to put in the real item location , ebay wont ban you for that.
 
Sometimes you just gotta have that gut feeling and go with it, you can try with your niche by sending from China, but eventually buying stock will get you a better overview and make you more trustworthy. Goodluck with your sales
 
Generally within a week.Almost as if bought outside the shipping time, unless you use express mail.
 
Chinese drop shipping was my start to IM, in 2007 it was possible to state your location as the UK then resell and have the items shipped directly, explaining the delivery time to customers. Although with increased limitations on selling, the requirement of meeting performance levels disguising the product location will only hinder customer service and your feedback, thus reducing your ability to sell.
Although profit margins are likely to be slimmer and competition increased, try finding a supplier located in the same country to minimise delivery time.
 
Put the location as China, i dropshipped from china and eBay didn't care that the location was from a different country.
 
Totally Wrong approach. I know the thread is old. But want to give my two cents.

NEVER MENTION CHINA .... yes thats true.... people have mindset that anything from china would be of low quality. even though IPHONE also MADE IN CHINA and assembled in California.....

Just increase your shipping time and let the product come to you first, then ship from your location. Trust me you will get good results in the longer run.
 
I've had Focalprice. Most of the times I did not get my products.
They just said they were sorry, but they did not care at all.

I'm looking for dropshippers in china and or economical shipping from small quantities to weight in tons or shipping containers.
Anyone have ideas for good dropshipers or other logistics options?
