Drop in traffic after Post Audits

Over the past 2 weeks, my new site had been experiencing a steady increase in traffic. So 2 days ago (Friday), I edited about 4 posts that I rank 11-50 (I think all are 2x), and added or removed sections according to other top ranking competitors.

I also added about 6 new articles.

But yesterday I realised the traffic dropped. Weekends I usually get less traffic, but this dropped drastically.

Does it have anything to do with the edit? Any suggestions on what to do?

Try to add quality backlinks, such as guest posts that are relevant.

Why did you change your top-performing articles?
Is there any reason you think it will rank better?

A/B test now. Recover content as-is of some 50/50 of those articles and see for 1 month how it evolves: are the dropped domains staying there while the recovered increase in ranks?

It's 100% impossible to understand whats going on with the information you give with more preciseness, so you might need ultimately to A/B test and see how it evolves.

I don't think so unless you have changed some of the most crucial information like titles and the content itself to a great extent.

The articles I edited are some of the worst performing. As I said, they were all on the 11-50 position. They were getting on average 1 visits daily. I didn't touch the best articles in page 1

But considering the 4 posts I edited barely got more than 1 visitors daily,do you think anything? These were some of my worst traffic posts

There is almost always an initial drop for a few weeks after updating content as Google decides where it deserves to rank now. Give it time.

My major concern is that my main ranking posts which I didn't edit dropped ranks. And I made sure I didn't fiddle with links in the edited posts
