Drop in Pinterest Referral Traffic

Hey,

My site had a big drop in Pinterest traffic starting at the end of July and continuing until now. What's surprising is that my Pinterest analytics show growth in all my metrics (impressions, engagement, etc). If all my content is posted with links to my site, why would my traffic from Pinterest drop while my Pins are actually more and more popular?

I think in Pinterest analytics you don't check for impressions or engagement, but instead check for click thru for the traffic to your website.

But what could be a reason for the drop if I'm posting as many pins with links, and they're getting seen/repinned,etc even more.... yet my traffic from Pinterest is down?

Is Pinterest changing its algorithm to send less traffic out?
