droid Game Developer gave me his sourcecode for a game

Recently, i was given ( by the developer ) the complete sourcecode for an droid game.

this game was a top ranking game for a little while last year, and trust me when i say that its a great gaming market of its genre, but im not sure what i can and cant do with this juicy piece of code ( i know nothing of droid development ).

so my questions are, since i dont have any kind of agreement to not offer it for financial benefit the source, can i accept cash from people for what i have been given?

Edit: the game is a MC clone. and did very well on the android market

my main work is to have a game design studio... one think i can tell you. monetize this quickly! change graphics / sound / music / put ads on it / pay a share to your friend that gave that to you and you are good to go

well thats what i was thinking. but my problem is not knowing how to change the required things and brand the package as a new game? either i find someone who knows their way around android game development to help me mod the hell out of the game. or i monetize it from the source code

Or if I re-branded it and making it my own, how much could I get from the souce code?

I was given 3 stages of source code for it: 1st is an alpha. 2nd is a beta. 3rd is current final stable release.

While I think I won't sell the current stable stage sourcecode ( in case I ever do decide to learn game programming ) , I think that I will probably sell the beta stage sourcecode, but on estimate how much cash could I get for it?. Keeping in mind, that its a minecraft clone

Just be prepared if you sell it the buyer might expect you to maintain it..
