Driving Traffic Through Blog Commenting

I would like to know what is the best way to leave my affiliate link in a blog comment. I will be giving valuable comment about the blogs content then leaving a link.

Should I just put the URL in the comment? Should I shorten the URL? What is the most effective way? I have set up Google alerts. Every time Google alerts me to a new blog post or video etc I will leave a comment.

Any advice from any one who has had success with this method would be highly appreciated. I will also be doing forum commenting with the affiliate link in my signature. Thanks.

you should get shorten your affiliate links and the niche site should be related against your product (your affiliate product)

You can use your own domain and cloak the URL. You can do that using Pretty link or simple redirection tool if you are using WordPress.

Hi Ezines,
Do you mean I should get my own domain name and then when someone clicks on the link it gets forwarded to the affiliate offer/sales page? Will URL redirect through Namecheap work without having to setup up Wordpress? Or do I need to set up Wordpress?

Still not clear on this, pls explain further. Thanks.

You can do both. Create an index.php page on cpanel using file manager if you do not want to install wp. That is it.

Or even better, get a link-tracking / redirect service, which won't require you to run Wordpress just to make links.

These is definitely working with related post comments.

You have to manual comment to have good results! I got 40000 comments made using scrapebox that gave me less than 30 visitors

Does comment traffic actually convert at all? I always thought it's bs because I ignored the links on comments.. but if they are worthy I might give them a shot. Will try today
