I've been running my own web development firm for the past two years. Recently I just started doing marketing for local companies (offline). I put some products and services in addition to my graphic / web design on my site and within a week I got a hit.

An order for close to $1k in my pocket (Thank you Facebook marketing).

Right now my company sits with a 100% customer satisfaction rating. I just did an order for delivering local advertisements for a company (hired a couple guys for distribution etc).

Just called the client to tell him everything is finished and he said that he was so impressed with the work (design) that he is ready to order two more rounds.

When going into this business I told myself that I was going to make this work regardless. NEVER GIVE UP! right?

Well it is true. Don't give up. But also, produce great shit and take care of your customers and you WILL be rewarded.

    Kissing ass helps sometimes also.

"Thank you! Let us know how we can repay you, no seriously! We really appreciate your business and if you ever need anything let us know"

Hell yeah, drinks on me tonight boys :pirate:

Grats man. Always happy to see success offline. I've learned to do the things you enjoy in life since you only live one. If you're stuck with a job you hate, you'll regret it. Go with what you love to do and always remember...treat your clients well and they will treat you well.

Now that you have your foot in the door, see if they need anything else that you can offer them. SEO, FB fanpage, etc.

Always. They already showed me they are interested in more. My average client comes in at around $1k and I up-sell to around $3k . That is the power of quality work and building rapport
