ok and your point is? some of us are sick and tired of dreamweaver. it really sucks without plugins added.
If you do not know what dreamweaver is then your in trouble because it gets complicated. There are plenty of free video training modules out there.
The tool is good if your know what your doing and crazy bad if your do not. It has a habit of crashing and making mistakes in the templating which can render your site useless.
There are millions of good templates and companies out there to get your landing pages created. Head over to fiver and you might even find someone to help you.

dreamweaver is fine, but seriously if you don't know what your doing, either hire someone to make your idea reality or stick with wordpress. dreamweaver is tough to learn and could be brutal for someone trying to learn to make landing pages. Good luck!

i second that
check out the downloads section there's wordpress landing page themes, templates,etc. It'll be easy as others have said if you stick with that and use dreamweaver as a WYSIWYG html editor for now to customize templates and what not.. Not as easy as you may thing to make a good landing page from scratch.

Dreamweaver is worth learning but requires some effort(learning). If you need something quick use templates.

Dreamweaver is an awesome tool that can do WAY WAY WAY more than just landing pages.
Although I run many WP based websites I still build plenty of sites that are ranked very high using Dreamweaver.
Love the tool and can't wait to get my hands on the latest release of Dreamweaver.
One thing though, the learning curve is kind of high on DW but it is absolutely worth learning to use it.

Without a doubt this is excellent advice. It is extremely important to know how to hand code a very simple html page and then you can build upon that knowledge.
I'll tell you honestly that I use my knowledge of html and xhtml to make changes exactly the way I want them even when using Dreamweaver.
There are some things that you simply should know and the basics such as html are essential. Once you know basic html you can easily switch over to xhtml.

dreamweaver is way easier to understand if you know some HTML and CSS. I made the mistake of getting it thinking I was going to just be able to open it up and start building websites. took quite a bit of playing around with. it's like buying a welder if you don't know how to weld, except learning to use a welder is much easier.
if you want something super easy with a ton of options you should check out wysiwyg web builder. it is by far a true wysiwyg editor as in you pretty much just drag and drop. it's only like $40 too. Definitely worth the money if you still want to build a nice looking site and don't want to wait until you learn any code.

cyrix and No1here you both gave some great advice. I use Dreamweaver on a regular basis but there was a learning curve at the beginning. The more you use it, the more you will learn.
I would recommend getting some video tutorials from lynda dot com. Signup is free I think for 7 days. Plenty of time to download the videos you want. You can also get training videos and PDF's from torrent sites.

Dreamweaver has a steep learning curve, but once you have mastered it you can make decent money by freelancing designing sites.

Dreamweaver was much easier, but has become somewhat complicated now. But there are other software to create web pages, including simple html pages too, if you are facing difficulties with Dreamweaver. One of the easiest is Arti*steer and is affordable too. I use both and like both for what they both do.
