    with an AP div your positioning will be relative to the top left hand corner of your browser

    if you want to position the div layer within your container then make your AP div a relative div instead ie: position: relative; and not position: absolute;

    a relative div takes its position from the top left corner of the div container its referenced in.

    am not sure what exactly your trying to do so hopefully this helps

    thanks
