Both works.
I assume that you mean Pro Submitter and not Door Page Generator Pro.
I prefer Xrumer because it can be a more direct promotion because you can actually send an interesting thread that can get some attention from the forum reader, very difficult to achieve maybe this days, but still possible.
Pro Submitter is a sever side software so you need to have an hosting that supports it.
Pro submitter does have a higher frequency in successful posts, so it is probably more effective for the serps.
But you have to remember that you need to run it from your hosting side so it can become a problem if the hosting company decides that your spamming.
Also Pro Submitter does not work with all hostings technically either, so you need to check that out first with seosoft and check if the hosting supports the software.
Both programs goes nicely together so if you can afford I would offcourse recommend both.
