Here guys. I've seen several post about people asking how to download them well here

Code:
javascript:if(document.location.href.match(/http:\/\/[a-zA-Z\.]*youtube\.com\/watch/)){document.location.href='http://www.youtube.com/get_video?fmt='+(isHDAvailable?'22':'18')+'&video_id='+swfArgs['video_id']+'&t='+swfArgs['t']}

Save it as a bookmark and click on it when your on the youtube video page. Its a bookmarklet for anyone that doesn't know what those are. Make sure your on High Quality before clicking on it. I use firefox if anyone wants to know.

Hows that for getting rid of these stupid programs. Cheers

Thanks for the script but I feel it's limited so I wanted to share some other options.

First I will post a site you can use to download and convert any video from youtube and many of the other video sites also. This will allow you to download and convert the video simultaneously without any software being installed on your pc.

Code:
http://zamzar.com/

2nd is a firefox plugin that does the same thing as the first link. You can convert and download the video at the same time. This is what I use since it's just a simple click and the video is downloaded and converted in seconds.

Code:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8189

It may be limited but simple as that. Downloads and converts to mp4 for you just using that bookmarklet. But thanks for your suggestions too. Our readers here need these options.

Cheers

Because downloading it as a flash flv would require you to convert anyways in order to upload back to youtube. That bookmarklet does it for you

Ive been uploading .flv to youtube with no problem.

TubeGrip.com allows you to download the HD and HQ versions of the YouTube Videos ;)

both in FLV (HD) and MP4 (HQ) formats

You can also add pwn in front of youtube to download a video you are on. Instead of youtube you would change it to pwnyoutube. The website gives you a few options as far as the download goes also. You don't have to worry about plugins or if you have a linux,pc, or mac box.

Would it be possible to make a code like that so when you hit the bookmark you subscribe to the video?

Ok for those who are using Mozilla Firefox there is a plugin called Sothink Web Video Downloader It's Free , It downloads form anywhere not only form youtube .

I have been using long. and its easy rather than using a plugin or a software to do it. Just click the bookmark and it done.

I usually download videos through Real Player, it not only downloads youtube videos, but almost downloads any videos on internet, a small button came up on the video window when mouseover, just with single click your video is downloaded.. and its free as well..
