I need help asap

If one should include a nofollow (rel"nofollow") tag to a download link, will you still be penalized if the content has a DMCA act law on it?

Especially when your hosting isn't a DMCA ignored hosting?

Hmm, grey area I suppose - you are not hosting any illegal content yourself. And you cannot be held responsible for content on other websites - for example, what if those links were indexed in google, would they be held responsible?

having said that, if you are creating a portal to this content and hosting links to lots and lots of illegal content, then I suspect it could create an issue as you are really adding value specifically to that illegal content.

I am no expert though, so I will let others provide a more comprehensive answer.
