Download Google Map Element for Offline use

I have a google map element that I'd like to have access to offline the internet and I'd like to have it in full depth. I was wondering if there's a method of downloading the entire map element for later use. If anybody knows anything in regards to thus, please let me know.

Google earth, the computer program may be able to help you?

Failing that go on the google map page, press ctrl and S and save it as a HTML page.

Not what I had in mind. Unfortunately it's a custom map using googles map engine. I can't download it using my browsers save function. I need a software that scans the entire Map Element and downloads the entire file. Thank you for the apt reply and it was worth a shot.
