download all images in a list?

Say I wanted to take a text file which consists of a list of URLs, and save all the images from those URLs to my harddrive. Is there a simple app out there for this, or a quick code snippet I can run that would perform the task?

I'm pretty sure IDM (internet download manager) would do this for you.
