Doubts about link building

1- I have a website. A friend of mine has a blog from the same niche as my website and want to write a blog post about something related to the topic and link to my niche, because he thinks my content is interesting.

> If my friend links to my website from his website naturally (me never asking for a link), but at the same time this person is a friend of mine, would be considered a natural link?

> Could the link be follow? (Remember, not guest posting, just a friend of mine making a blog post about my site or just naming it).

2- You receive a very bad "nofollow link".

4- i have many FOLLOWED links from friends pages to my page but i also didn't ask for those links and never paid for them. these are blog posts linking to my content within relevant content. can it cause a penalty?

5- so I've seen many high DA profiles on big websites, where I can have a profile of my niche and link to my website. If the link is NOFOLLOW, is it OK to do it? if the link if FOLLOW, is it unnatural?

2.1 If your website is already live for a while it will get some random "bad" links from time to time. As long as you see no impact on your website, there is no worry about

1. It's a natural link even if it comes from a friend's website. Google verifies link schemes based on the number of outbound links & frequent external links on articles. If your friend gives 1 external link per post consistently then it will raise suspicion. If the link is relevant and helpful, then it will boost your rankings without any penalty.
2. You can completely ignore nofollow links. If there are thousands of nofollow links coming from a spammy site, then you can disavow it to avoid any future problems (for example, if all of them suddenly become do-follow, then it can lead to manual action).
3. You need not have to bother much about Tier-2 links that you didn't create. If the website that gives link to you is good, then it shouldn't be a problem. However, check spam score of the website to understand if it passes link juice from spammy websites.
4. No, they are fine.
5. Profile links are safe as of now. You can create both df & nf profile links without any issues.

1.) That's not a problem at all. Make it do-follow.

2) a bad nofollow can totally affect you but a lot of bad links are usually required to have a meaningful impact.

1. If it's from relevant site, then it's okay. It will a natural link.

2. If the links are low quality, it may harm its better to remove it.

1. If links received naturally, there is no problem with that.

2. Low-quality links has more chance to affect your rankings.

As long as you two are not butt buddies, google will let it pass. For now.

try to get some high quality backlinks with do follow

1. All Google vares about is that it's a relevant link from a non-spammy website. Also, Google does not really have any idea who you are friends with.
2. You can always disavow links you find threatening for your site.
3. This is unlikely, but it's always better to avoid placing links on spammy sites. Quality over quantity.
4. Again, if these are organically distributed relevant links, Google will have no problem with them.
5. It's ok, just don't over do it with df links - you're fine as long as everything looks organic.
