social signal can be used to overrank competitor but after a while the rank will drop. This is my exp in using this type of so called links in seo campaign. What do you think? no doubt they are effective and strong..

That Quick Sprout guy says G+ passes PR, so i'll go with what he says.
 
This is my experiment as well. Social signal still works, but not that effective. I am ranking my tech site, without any social signals, and it's still on top.

I do not use social signals at all at my site and I will soon outrank Quick Sprout for some keywords. Social Signals are the biggest SEO fata morgana
 
Social signals plays a vital role in SEO !!! With the power of social signals your site may get index early than other methods thus resulting in SERP ranking. Social signals helps in SEO one way or another :)

Read what the Moz blog says about G+ correlations, you can see for yourself that the stuff you share to there gets a do follow link. What could be better than a do follow link from something that Google owns?
 
Social signals are very good but do not completely rely on these signals. Just mix the social signals with your white hat links.:)
 
I think social signals are more for conversion confidence than actually ranking. Snake oil if you ask me.
