I have created a double meta refresh website but the problem is that once a user clicks on the hyperlink, the URL bar shows all of the various pages it goes to in the process so it looks somewhat suspicious if a user pays attention to the URL bar.

1) user clicks on a link on the site whatever.blog.com (shows in URL bar)
2) user gets redirected to whatever.com/firstpage.php (shows in URL bar)
3) user gets meta refreshed to whatever.com/secondpage.php (shows in URL bar)
4) user gets meta refreshed to myaffiliatecompany.com?querystringhere (shows in URL bar)
5) user gets redirected to the theactualofferwebsite.com (shows in URL bar)

Is there any way to hide the number of different URLs that are appearing in the URL bar during this process?

I think I can answer this one ... no. I never thought I could help someone here so soon after just starting to learn a lil bit haha. Actually ... I think there is a way to do what you asked. Search the cloaking threads a bit and you will find out. I'll find thread u need if you dont find any info

You can do the double meta refresh in a single page using some php to at least remove one of the redirects. (If you're interested I'll look it up for you.) It won't get rid of them all, but one step less. Also, always remember, if you lose 5% of people who are like "OMG I'M GETTING REDIRECTED!" and pound the stop button and don't get the the affiliate it's not a big deal. You're better trying to improve your campaign than to brood over this 5%--it's relatively insignificant over other improvements you can make--don't let it hold you up.

there's usually always something in the status bar, such as google analytics loading, as long as there is nothing in the browser window itself saying you are being redirected, you shouldn't have any problems.

and php redirect are much faster

2 redirects and 2 meta refreshes? it probably look suspicious because your overkilling what you need to do and its taking up too much time

Because I'm sure he hasn't found a solution in the past 2 years...
