    Hey Guys,

There a website which I really like the design, layout and features of. It's in an auction about to expire very soon. If I purchase this, I would want/need to utilize someone's SEO services to try and rank it on google page 1 BUT it's extension is .me.

Are the .me domains more difficult to rank (more expensive for seo services) than .com, .net and .org's? I also see there's a similar website with the same name in the TLD of .com already ranked on google #1.

Now I'm not sure if I should buy this website but find a different domain name altogether and redirect.

    Thanks.

I have clients that point .me domains at their primary sites to have easier to remember shortcuts but I doubt that a .me would rank well on it's own without a lot of effort.

So if I really like the site but afraid that ranking a .me will be too difficult, it's best to go out and find a .com and then redirect the .me to point to the .com? I've never done this before. Or am I confused? lol

I'm guessing it would be best for me to buy a .com, rank that on google and have ppl auto-redirect from that .com to the actual .me site. Is that right?
