Sure it will work but you do realize it won't stop you from procrastinating? You can start jogging in the mornings to boost your dopamine levels and see for yourself. Lack of motivation can have various psychological roots. For example fear of failure. Procrastination can also be caused by the lack of clear targets and discounting long term gains in favour of short term rewards.
If motivational problems could be solved by simply boosting your dopamine levels half the world's workforce would be drugged up by now.
I have ADHD and have to take medication in order to maintain an effective attention span in this line of work. An increase of dopamine (which is the neurotransmitter primarily targeted by my meds) is responsible for this increase in attention span. Along with an increased ABILITY to focus comes the increased ABILITY to stay on top of my most valuable tasks. Hence MOTIVATION! There are lots of things you can do to regulate your dopamine levels, you should only take meds if you have seen a professional!
Screw the PM. Im motivated (thanks to my meds and a BURNING DESIRE (Napoleon Hill Voice) to learn and share) enough to just post! OK so to increase dopamine you wanna intake Proteins so that they break down into amino acids (also good for bodybuilding) that break down into a specific amino acid called tyrosine. Tyrosine will increase dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine so that you have an increase in energy and mental alertness! You also want to intake B Vitamins and Omega 3 Fish oil. And you BETTER not neglect exercise. WANT MORE? USE GOOGLE!
