I just began this SEO game in May. The site I built back then used SAPE and GSA-SER links. I then redid my strategy about a month and a half ago and just started earning some money, but sadly didn't make it to profits yet. But I learned a lot, so it's something

Anyway, from what I've seen today, Google hit a lot of sites that used SAPE links with unnatural inbound links penalty, probably a site-wide one.

Well anyway, let's see how this works out. I'm not planning to do anything for at least a week with the site. I'll keep my links up and continue to do light GSA-SER as I am now. I'm really interested to see how my rankings will do.

I used SAPE links on another of my sites. It had quite a lot of them, but I removed them as the site wasn't moving anywhere. The site did get an "Unnatural links to your site-impacts links" penalty about 2 weeks ago, but no new penalty as of now.

What is your problem??? I did say in my post BESIDES SAPE users.

I have a wide mix of sape and non sape sites. BOTH affected.

So I simply wanted to know if others were feeling the effects outside the realm of sape.

This update wasn't targetted to sape only. I experienced a loss of traffic today as well, and never used sape

No SAPE but other private networks here, SERP for ALL of my keywords dropped from #1 to nowhere to be found (I didn't bother after reaching page 5) today.

I build SAPE directly on my 5 sites out of which 3 got slapped from google (there are in 50s) and other two sites are still at there same place. Thinking to remove sape from one site as it stuck on #11

I didn't use any sape link or private blog network......

I don't use sape.. but I noticed a little drop in serps as well, but that's okay I guess. Gotta build a new site and start again

Yeah , I got hit as well , I was using all kinds of links , sape as well , I wonder if we remove the sape links will the rankings recover ? I'm curenttly on page 5

All I thought It was just a google dance until I did some digging.

Here are some of the standings of some of my sites

Site 1 - Sape fueld. Affected!
Site 2 - Sape fueled. Affected!

Site 3 - Sape fueled just recently. NOT affected
Site 4 - White hat. Not affected. LOL

Gonna stick on the sape links for a week, prolly 2 and see what happens.

I've loved SAPE, have over 200 Campaigns (10k Links Overall), Its been great for

1. Ranking FAST for highly Competitive Terms
2. Making Money In Short Term
3. Then Ditch Penalized Sites & make New ones.

Unlike people crying here, SAPE has not been completely hit, only small parts of it (say few k sites), just move and and use others (they're a bit pricier, so what?)

Ofcourse, anyone expecting really long term results from SAPE must be a noob

For anyone who used SAPE on their main money sites, the question I ask is why? Were you expecting something else to happen?

I have SAPE sites that got hit too, but these sites were thrown up in a few hours, and I didn't invest much time into them. They made back more than their money's worth and it was just a countdown before they would get hit. I'm still debating if I should continue churn and burning or just wait this whole thing out.

Churn and burn is not really my style, but every update google launches, they make it the more profitable route. I only started this model when google decided to reward crappy sites over clean sites.

Sorry to those whose real sites got hit, but you guys should have known the risks of using it on your real sites. At least you made profit from it right? Just throw up another one and profit from it too.

this is what happens when you use a big ass paid link service that gets too popular for its own good. mates i have been saying this for a well over a 6 months that the day was coming that SAPE got crushed like the little cockroach it is. when every noob in the world comes on BHW asking about a link network or paid link service you know its days are numbered.

sape was that way for quite some time. as I have also been saying for some time is that you got to find a network thats underground an not every seo and their mother uses. thats the most important part.

ive been apart of a private link service for well over two years and they have never had a site deindexed or any of the websites i use with them have dropped in rankings. why? they dont advertise and as far as i know are a referral only network. now im sure they could make a fortune whoring out their network for a few months but its easy to understand thats not whats important to them.

the point is that you spend a bit more time researching solid networks that are "underground" and you dont have to ride these ups and downs. you can build a pretty solid profile that will stand the test of time.

the few friends of mine that used sape without listening to me all got unnatural link warnings. now they are paying to clean up backlinks because theyve been exposed. you arent gonna be able to just remove sape links and call it a day. now that you got the warning your whole link profile goes under the microscope. so back to square one for some of them and others that have physical businesses or built brands need to clean up their backlinks. its the only way they are gonna be able to recover.

I understand what you are saying and I am compelled to agree.
However I ask you this: I have been running solo for several years. None of my friends are into this game. I have had decent success over the last few years using a variety of methods yet i have never been exposed to these 'underground' networks you speak of.

The colour scheme on this forum sends me cross eyed and left with a headache after an hour of reading LOL.

So I ask you, how does one find these underground networks and get invited.
