you should be extra careful now since you got a warning.

Definitely get proxies, they cost $23 per 10...

also get anonymous vpn service, it's extra level of protection.

Use proxies
Spam law only applies to certain countries
If you provide information and an "opt out" tag it's not spam at all in the UK

A couple of forum members here run Xrumer from home (not on their main PC mind you...) with proxies or VPN. I use their services. Never even a sniff from the authorities. and they run it full pelt 24/7 maximum threads. (Works fine on a dedicated line - -$50 a month)

I think certain countries (USA) and certain ISP'a are a lot stricter though.

The issue with hosted Xrumer is the same. Your host can bollox you, so you have to be careful where you set up. It also takes 10x the knowhow to set up on a host. It's really simple to set up at home.

But in the US...I wouldn't do at home at all..with or without proxies

But seriously, I've used Xrumer from my home connection routed through a VPN for over a year. Nobody has ever found me. It would be easy enough to backtrack and do but typically they will just ban the IP or make a service complaint against my VPN's IP, but other than that very few people are willing to take it all the all and find out who I am or my true IP.

I wouldn't worry about it. The only problem I've had is that my router keeps dying, and my cable company has to keep giving me new IP's once every... oh 2 or 3 months. Peice of crap router... yeah.

currently, email spam are illegal, you can send emails to your exists customers, but you must put "Unscribe" into the bottom of the email.

No law against blog/forum spam. Congress is very slow on the technology thingy.

only thing happens is you will get trouble from your isp as well web hosting providers, or better yet, google adsense, advertisers, etc.
