Since iprental stopped using paypal yesterday (or better said.. paypal stopped accepting them) i signed up for hidemyip.

Of course i had a look at their trail version fist. those poxies where so slow i felt like sitting on a 11kbit/s modem 12 years ago.
But thats okay.. there are no fast free proxies out there except you scan for them.
So i bought the software and their premium service and went for lunch.
1/2 hour later the software stopped giving me any proxies.
WHAT? Demo is working but as soon as you purchase it the software is useless?

I've send a mail to their support, they don't answer.

Just want to let you know...
my 2 cents...

I used that product and it stunk.I'm using proxy switcher and it works much better...

I had the same issues with the paid version, very slow proxies. Don't waste your time or money.

people say you get what you pay for.. with hide-my-ip it's even less..

Those of you who didn't like the service, what are you using now? I need a proxy service that constantly changes and has at least 50 different proxies. Price doesn't matter, just reliability.

i use privat porxies a lot but you would have to buy a lot to get them cheap.
in addition i used iprental, their service is okay. you can try them for 9$ or so. have a look at their website. they don't accept paypal.

Plus I have heard that hidemyip keeps logs so if you ever get inquired about the will give you up anyway. Fuck that company they suck!

I am also using IPRental, but this isn't for CL or anything like that. I've had a few issues here and there with some of hte IPs but overall much better than HideMyIP

Thanks you two for the suggestion, I'll check IPRental out.

Just another update, it appears that IPRental is no longer accepting PayPal and is only accepting AlertPay. This may throw a wrench into your plans with HideMyIP. Just thought you should know.

Thx, i mentioned that in the first post...
that was the reason i checked them out.

i an other thread we are talking about the switch to alertpay. i looks like they will solve the problem sooner or later.

Yeah, I actually took the advice in this thread and went to sign up with them, but alertpay was having issues when I tried. So I just said screw them and now I'm trying out cloakfish or whatever it's called.

Cool man, let me know how cloakfish works for you. Were always looking for IP solutions that are cheaper and easy to setup. We don't do any CL so we don't have to worry about softblocking issues.

Just an update, I wrote them and asked them to cancel my service. I paid for the $19/month option (15 proxies per day) and of the ones that were available maybe 1/10 loaded a page for me in less than 10 seconds, and several of those had been blocked from some of the sites I wanted to use them for. :-/
