Don't update iMacro for Firefox 8.8.5!!!!!

The other day the automatic update for iMacro add-on kicked in and I updated it.

Now I tried running a few AMF iMacros and they wouldn't work.

I reinstalled the iMacro add-on, still the same problem.

Then I installed the previous version again, and it all works perfectly.

So, I assume that the new version is problematic somehow or something. So don't update it. Or if you do and face any problems, then go and install the older version again.

I just thought I'd let you know. Though it could be just me that faced this issue...

I just saw this update pop up but didn't do it. Thanks for the warning. I'll post back if I end up having the same problem.

Yep I had same problem. Downgrading back to the previous version fixed it.

Same here. I always disable the automatic updates for all the components on my automations.
2 main reasons:
* sometimes this update popup is blocking and waits for my input, and it i'm no there the automation won't start because it's waiting for my input...
* this auto-update shit is making unneccesary network access, which if used behind a proxy can identify my computer - and i don't want to list my machine in all those databases.. minimum interaction with them
* i dont want to spend time fixing something which is working because of an update

Although that I don't AUTOMATIC update my software, I also review update by hand. Sometimes there are more useful features which I can use as advantage

yea, i experienced the same as Scorpion Ghost and wrote about the issue here, it seems after OP though

there was a major fuckup with 8.8.5 (from what i read, it isn't a problem for everybody, it's hardver-dependent), but there's an update (8.8.7) since then and that's ok, no issues with that one, macros are running smooth again

don't use 8.8.5, either downgrade and use 8.8.2 or the latest version 8.8.7
