Whenever i look at my to-do list and choose a task, I always overthink about the task. (the risk, the will to do the task, the what-if situations, etc..)
And instead of doing the task, i tell myself to 'just do it later,' 'think more about it,' and other similar thoughts to that. a lot of time passed, and "I didn't do the task and gave myself a reason to skip it."
This has been happening multiple times in my life, and in the future, i think about it and regret that:
"I didn't do it. I should've done it. If i have done it before, i would be much better off now."
Even though this happened multiple times and i have regretted multiple times, I still haven't learned my lesson, and i still keep on making this bad habit of "thinking about it and not doing it in the end."
I've thought very deeply about this and made a decision.
"I should stop thinking about it and just f**king do it."
I started with this mindset, and my productivity ever since has increased a lot!
However, I still can't remove the habit of "thinking before doing" right now (I still keep on doing it now and then) but when it happens, i just scratch it off my thoughts and just do the task without thinking about, without caring about the risk and without thinking about the what-if situation.
What do you think about this? Please let me know.
